Exceptional and very important, late Kachan Kork Iran About 1975 Signed High-quality, silky, spring-selected lambswool velvet on cotton backing. Midnight-blue field decorated with fine scrolls of twisted crenellated stems terminating in flowering palmettes, surrounded by delicately designed ivory and sky-blue lace leaves, adorned with a large central polylobed ivory, celadon, pearl-gray and bluish-gray starry rosette with flowering crowns. Four spandrels with motifs reminiscent of the central medallion Seven borders, the main one midnight blue with motifs reminiscent of the central field. Signed.
