Royal Gendarmerie officer's saber, model 1816. Mounting modified by removal of the fleur-de-lys and the secondary branches of the guard. Line-decorated oval cap. V-shaped joint arch and curved drop-shaped quillon. Leather-covered wooden spindle with alternating double filigree. Curved blade with groove, gutter and carp tongue.
