A tomb-style chest of drawers with espagnolette locks, made - Lot 94
A tomb-style chest of drawers with espagnolette locks, made of amaranth veneer and decorated with a counter-curling pattern. It opens to reveal three rows—accented by dark brass fluting—of four drawers with ash-wood frames, two of which are in the first row. The bottom drawer is designed to resemble a bridge, and the crossbar forms a lamp base. The ornate side panels rest on small curved supports. The top is made of royal red marble with a corbin design. Gilded bronze hardware: lock plates, foliage-decorated handles, apron, espagnolette latches, and applied feet.
