HENRY CLAY. - Lot 39
HENRY CLAY.
A small cabinet-style box made of exotic wood, with the lid and sides featuring foliage marquetry; the lid bears the brand’s logo in silver lettering and closes with a lock (key missing).
These characteristics allow it to be dated to the period 1880–1890, a time when cigars were small in size. These fragile antique boxes are currently impossible to find, and their export is strictly prohibited.
