A series of 15 “vistas” representative of a particular cigar - Lot 3
A series of 15 “vistas” representative of a particular cigar brand or blend. The vistas were either glued to the inside of the box lid or placed loosely on top of the cigars. Reflecting the distinctive style of the era, they are often adorned with gold motifs and hot-stamped designs, and their artwork is frequently a true work of art. Most bear an authentication stamp by Dr. Orlando Arteaga, a specialist in Cuban cigars. Date: 1950s. Brands: BAUZA (2), ALVAREZ LOPEZ, VALLE. Rare vistas dating from before the Castro revolution, from the era when DUNHILL—supplier to the British Crown—operated its plantations in Cuba and manufactured its cigars on site. Extremely rare labels featuring a portrait of Shakespeare for the importer LINDEMAN, intended for the U.S. market. PUCK, MURIAS (2), DUNHILL, FAUST, MORENO, FUMAKOS, Henry CLAY, BANCES Y LOPEZ, with certificates. EL PREMIO dated April 26, 1957.
