FRENCH-RUSSIAN ALLIANCE - Lot 84

Russian Art: A Journey Through the Centuries

We are pleased to present an exceptional online auction featuring a collection of works and objects that showcase the richness and diversity of Russia’s artistic and cultural heritage.

This journey begins with icons—testaments to Orthodox spirituality and masterpieces of sacred art—whose golden radiance and symbolic depth have endured through the centuries. It continues with remarkable theater drawings, reflecting the extraordinary artistic effervescence that marked the golden age of the Russian stage, where the worlds of ballet, opera, and the avant-garde converged.

The auction also features a refined collectionof silverware, illustrating the incomparable craftsmanship of the great Russian workshops, as well as a selection of historical and military memorabilia that evoke the glory days of imperial history and the upheavals of the 20th century.

Finally, this journey concludes with a significant library, a true treasure trove for enthusiasts and researchers alike. It brings together works devoted to Russian art, rare editions related to Russian emigration, and a collection of archival documents offering a valuable record of Russia’s artistic, intellectual, and historical life.
