A set of four large queen-style armchairs with flat backs, made of molded, carved, and lacquered beech wood, decorated with a frieze of heart-shaped motifs, acanthus scrolls, and rows of pearls. The gendarme-hat-shaped backrest features armrests joined by molding, and the concave supports rest on fluted stops. The flared, curved front panel rests on tapered legs with fluted shafts adorned with asparagus-like scrolls, cascading water leaves, and topped with finials. France. Louis XVI period.
