BERTRAND (Jean), 1708–1777, pastor - Lot 11

A remarkable collection of manuscripts and rare books comprising items of great historical, bibliophilic, and artistic interest. This lot notably includes a manuscript adorned with delicate Persian miniatures, attesting to the refinement of Eastern book art, as well as several autograph documents signed by eminent figures of the Ancien Régime, including Henri François d’Aguesseau and Charles Alexandre de Calonne. It is complemented by an incunabulum, a precious testament to the early days of European printing, making this collection a remarkable overview of the history of books and writing, likely to attract the attention of both collectors and institutions.
