Note:
Dated 1952, this work belongs to Fred Deux’s early years in Paris, when he was closely associated with the Surrealist group. For him, drawing became a space where ambiguous forms emerged, halfway between anatomy, the plant world, and the inner world. This period also coincided with the development of his “Kleepathologies,” inspired in particular by his discovery of Paul Klee.
