Curved sloping desk in violet and rosewood veneer, decorated on all sides with diamond points. It opens with a flap embellished with a central cartouche inlaid with stylized flowering stems in butt-wood, and sheathed in gilded red leather. The interior reveals seven oak-glazed drawers, two compartments and a central sliding shelf concealing a secret compartment. The lower body opens onto two rows of three drawers, two of which are in the first row. The unit stands on four curved legs. Mercury ormolu trim: lock escutcheons, falls and set sabots. Paris.
