Large, curved parquet clock in rosewood veneer with frieze decoration in amaranth surrounds, embellished with a rich ornamentation of chased and gilded bronzes with rocaille-style mercury, mascaron, acanthus leaves and floral motifs. The dial marks the hours in blue Roman numerals and the minutes in black Arabic numerals on a background of white enamel hour markers. It rests on an openwork plinth enriched with dark brass fluting.
