Rondache separ, Iran qâjâr, late 19th century Circular steel shield with four domed bosses with a floral base emerging from the acid-etched and regreased decoration. A band of cartouches and epigraphic medallions in nasta'liq, flanked by vegetal friezes, runs around a central rosette partially inlaid with gold and radiating on a floral background. Grip handle on the reverse, later edged with a red leather band. D_ 47 cm (Traces of rust and oxidation, wear to handle and leather on reverse, very slight deformations). Expert : Camille Celier
