A major Greek painter and artist of the XXᵉ century, Alèkos Fassianós is renowned for his vibrant pictorial universe, inspired by Greek mythology, folklore and Mediterranean life. Trained at the Beaux-Arts in Athens, then in lithography at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he lived for several decades, he developed a personal style marked by stylized figures, intense colors and a poetic narration of reality. In addition to painting, he illustrates books, designs theater sets and costumes, and his works are exhibited worldwide and included in public collections. His art, deeply inspired by Hellenic culture, combines tradition and modernity.
