Large, carved, molded and lacquered beechwood cane-back armc - Lot 124
Large, carved, molded and lacquered beechwood cane-back armchair with palmette, bat-wing, staple and rocaille decor. The backrest is adorned with a bundle of ribbons embellished with acanthus leaves. It features curved armrests with leather-wrapped cuffs, and console-shaped supports. The curved waistband rests on cambered legs finished with inverted scrolls. The seat is fitted with a leather-wrapped galette, edged with piping. Stamped : L. CRESSON Louis CRESSON (1706-1761) Master in 1738 Paris. Early Louis XV period.
