IGOR MITORAJ (1944-2014) & DAUM - Saturnia. Sculpture in pâte de verre published by Daum France, limited edition of 200. Signed "Mitoraj" and numbered (no. 99/200) under the base. Publisher: Daum. H_20 W_27 D_26 cm Saturnia is a pâte de verre sculpture by the renowned Polish sculptor Igor Mitoraj, created in collaboration with the prestigious French crystal and art glass house Daum. Created around 1990, this work is produced in a limited edition of 200, each signed and numbered. The piece depicts a fragmented face, typical of Mitoraj's aesthetic, strongly inspired by ancient art and imbued with melancholy poetry. Combining this classical vision with Daum's mastery of pâte de verre, Saturnia has a presence that is both fragile and powerful, with a translucence that captures the light magnificently.
