Roland TOPOR (1938-1997) - Lot 170

Roland TOPOR (1938-1997) Les mains sales. Glass sculpture published by Daum France, signed, accompanied by its certificate of authenticity. Without base: H_40 W_30 D_12 cm N°99/250 Typical of the gritty, surreal universe of Roland Topor, unclassifiable artist, writer, illustrator and co-creator of the Panique movement. Les mains sales, created in pâte de verre by the Daum crystal glassworks, transposes Topor's expressive, satirical drawings into three dimensions, with the dark humor and critical dimension characteristic of his work. The glass execution, a technique mastered by Daum, adds to the fragility and strangeness of the piece. Very good condition. Provenance: private collection, with Daum certificate.
