A word from the collector:

"The passion for art is necessarily a family or childhood story, or simply memories of travels to the four corners of Europe and the world.

For this family, collecting is above all the expression of the transmission of a French art de vivre, carried by exceptional sources of inspiration such as Hubert de Givenchy, Emilio Terry, Yves Saint Laurent... or places of history, such as the homes of great families, Italian or German museums and the châteaux of France.

It's an unusual collection, small but qualitative, representing this French art of living that's on sale.

Royal memorabilia such as this beautiful engraving of Charles X, or that of His Highness the Duke of Bordeaux and that of His Royal Highness Mademoiselle, are combined with engravings and paintings, miniatures of pleasing quality in their original frames.

This collectors' sale, featuring bronze, silver, wood, porcelain and marble, is also about souvenirs, journeys to Mitteleuropa, the art of living in Swiss chalets or Black Forest settings, with bear-sculpted benches and trophies.

These decorative elements are there to remind us that in these Eastern lands, living indoors is of the utmost importance, that a colorful, multi-faceted interior invites us to take still journeys, to let in the light on long winter nights.

A collection that also combines all the arts of fire: earthenware, porcelain, crystal, glass, silverware... an art of the table à la Française, refined and subtle.

Furniture that is simple yet elegant, practical yet transformable, a world of living that takes its roots in the heart of the 17th century and ends in the 20th century, a great period of restitution of objects and decorative elements from the 18th century, the Age of Enlightenment.

A multi-generational collection, everything is here to create a comfortable, aesthetic and refined universe in the 21st century.

Let yourself be seduced, let yourself be carried away, let yourself be guided by this sale, which will enable each and every one of you to own a piece of the history of the arts of living by passion."
