Johann Konrad Hottinger (1788-1828) was a Swiss painter active in the early 19th century, trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. He excelled at painting landscapes and genre scenes, often in ink or wash. A founding member of the artistic brotherhood of Saint-Luc, he lived in Rome before moving to Munich, Vienna and back to Switzerland. He also taught drawing in Lenzburg. His work, though few in number, is recognized in the context of Swiss Romanticism.
