Large and fine Tabriz Djaffer. High-quality silky lambswool velvet on cotton backing. Old rose field decorated with a mosaic of stylized diamond-shaped flower buds (Mina Khani motifs found in Veramine carpets), adorned with three interlocking medallions decorated with the same motif. Four spandrels echo the field and central medallions. Seven borders, the main one ivory, decorated with floral bulb seedlings in the form of stylized turtle shells surrounded by lacy leaves. Iran.
