CORDIER (Jean) - Pages vosgiennes. S.l., Chez l'auteur, circ - Lot 248
CORDIER (Jean) - Pages vosgiennes. S.l., Chez l'auteur, circa 1920; in-4, 423 pp, bound in half-brown morocco, spines decorated with 4 raised bands. Pages mounted on tabs and bound in 3 volumes. Jean Cordier, apparently a journalist with the newspaper l'Industriel Vosgien, cut out articles from newspapers describing the Vosges. He illustrated his texts with postcards, illustrations from books, drawings, photographs and pages from syndicate guides. Superb testimony to a Vosgian's love of his region. The ballads and local folklore can be reconstructed, and this work could almost be published as.... Expert : M. Philippe HENRY
