Icart is best known for his Art Deco style, notably his brightly colored etchings, often depicting glamorous women. Icart's work is characterized by elegance and sophistication, often addressing themes of femininity and beauty. He gained great renown in the 1920s, while living in New York, where his prints became highly sought-after. Works such as "Follies" (1935) and "Destin de Femme" testify to his mastery of color and form. His etchings often employed techniques such as aquatint, which allowed for rich variations in color and texture. For example, his work "Printemps" illustrates his talent for combining etching and aquatint in color.
