ARTSAKH-KARABAGH (Armenia). Technical features: Wool velvet on wool foundation. A midnight-blue field sown with florets, Medes stars, garlands, floral compositions and small symbols, supports a center of bright-red bound fields, segmented into three crenellated lozenges with navy hearts. The central medallion features stylized floral garlands, while the other two feature brick-arrowed squares adorned with bluish kotchaks, a corolla and an hourglass. The cherry-colored border features undulating foliage and multicolored corollas. Fleururette highlights. Dated 1903 and Armenian script. Beautiful palette.
