Léon Joseph Voirin (1833-1887) was a French painter renowned for his contributions to the École de Nancy - he was the twin brother of Jules Voirin. Voirin specialized in a wide variety of subjects, including military themes, genre scenes and landscapes, and was also an accomplished watercolorist. He studied for five years with Eugène Guérard, which had a considerable influence on his artistic development. His works often reflect a charm and attention to detail, capturing the essence of everyday life and the beauty of nature.
