Lando LANDOZZI (1887-1959). - Lot 532
Lando LANDOZZI (1887-1959). "Full-length portrait of a man. Oil on panel. Signed lower right. Size: 31 x 19 cm. Lando Landozzi was an Italian painter, born in Pisa in 1887 and died in Livorno in 1959. He is best known for his distinctive artistic style and his role as a founding member of the Labronico Group in 1920, although he was not entirely identified with Livorno's pictorial tradition. Landozzi is renowned for his cartoonish attitude in his works, which often reflect the difficult living conditions of his time. His art focuses on scenes of everyday life, capturing moments of popular life, notably through depictions of Livornese characters and landscapes. For example, one of his notable works, "Popolane alla Fontana", depicts women at a fountain, highlighting aspects of community and social life.
