Albert André was a French Post-Impressionist born May 24, 1869, died July 11, 1954. André studied with such eminent artists as Benjamin Constant and William-Adolphe Bouguereau at the Académie Julian. Albert André's paintings are characterized by their vivid colors and expressive brushstrokes. He often depicted landscapes, still lifes and scenes of daily life, highlighting his ability to convey emotions through color and composition. His works reflect the influence of both Impressionism and Fauvism.
