Denise ROMANINI-ARAGON (1910-?) (Attributed to). - Lot 468
Denise ROMANINI-ARAGON (1910-?) (Attributed to). "Pair of portraits of young men". Oil on panel. Size: 46 x 38 cm. Painter and sculptor, she was born in Nancy in 1910. At the Nancy Ecole des Beaux Arts, she studied painting with Victor Prouvé and sculpture with Carl. Until the 1940s, she pursued a career as a painter and sculptor, painting portraits and sculpting busts of notables. In 1937, she was awarded a Silver Medal at the Salon des Artistes Français. From 1945 onwards, she abandoned sculpture and devoted herself solely to painting: nudes, dancers, portraits and flowers in oils and landscapes in gouache, brought back from her trips to Venice and Ariège. She exhibited regularly at the Salon Annuel des Artistes Lorrains, where she was a member of the committee. Lorraine art consultant: Mr. Robert LETERRIER
