Henri Pierre Jamet was a French painter, born in Gien in 1858 and died in 1940. He is best known for his talents as a portraitist, landscape painter and specialist in genre scenes. Jamet trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he developed his artistic skills. He also taught painting in Orléans, sharing his knowledge with numerous students. His artistic career flourished between Montmartre and the Creuse valley, where he found inspiration for many of his works.
