Marcel FALTER (1886-1966). "Craftsmen. Charcoal" Graphite and mixed media. Signed lower right. Dimensions: 44 x 30 cm. Born in Dieuze in 1886, he studied at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg and Munich. This animal painter and poster artist made his debut at the Salon des Indépendants in 1914 and at the Salon y'a d'Automne in 1923. He was a member of the Groupe des Douze in 1932. He painted animals and circus scenes extensively. His work is on display at the Musée de Luxembourg and the Musée de Strasbourg.
