Silk GHOUM carpet (Iran), Shah period, circa 1965 Technical features: Silk velvet on silk backing. Density of 490,000 knots per square meter. The field of this carpet is composed of anthracite, ivory, cream and brick columns adorned with a succession of pastel floral compositions.
