KACHAN carpet (Iran), 2nd third of the 20th century . Technical features: Wool velvet on cotton backing. A beautiful floral rosette, star-shaped and poly-lobed in navy, ivory, sky, old gold and cherry, rests on a cherry field, covered with delicate polychrome floral stems with blossoming corollas. Four magnificent ivory-on-navy spandrels encircle the whole. Five counter-borders, sky, cherry and ivory, frame the main navy one, all with garlands of multicolored flowers. Dimensions: 380 x 280 cm.
