The star of this rug is a large ivory diamond-shaped medallion with multicolored vegetation and celadon-green protuberances. The whole is reminiscent of an entomological form set against a brick background with symbolic sowing. Segmented by two old gold niches, it is flanked on each side by two bluish and ivory ogival "vaults". The ivory "chevrons" are adorned with scolopendres (stylized dragons), while the bluish ones are dotted with flowers and animals. The "clef de voute" is brick and ivory, symbolizing the tree of life. Four celadon spandrels with hooks enclose the whole. A small ivory border with an undulating garland of multicolored flowers and two sawtooth counter-borders form the frame. Sublime, elaborate graphics based on Armenian mythology.
