[LAW] - Translation de la substitution du marquisat de Bayon, sur le comté de Guise; et érection du comté de Guise en marquisat de Frolois, en faveur de la maison de Ludres du ving mars 1757. Nancy, Chez Thomas, 1765; in-4, frontispiece, heraldic engraving by Collin, IV-83 pp. + errata, contemporary full marbled calf binding, ornate smooth spine, red morocco title-piece, blue painted edges, one bit entirely split, fragile work in need of restoration. The Marquisate of Frolois (de-baptized lands of Guise) was substituted for that of Bayon during the reign of King Stanislas of Poland. This enabled Antoine-Martin Chaumont de La Galaizière to obtain sufficient land around Bayon. The Ludre family did not lose out, on the contrary, as the Guise lands were more profitable.
