REMY (Nicolas) - Daemonolatreiae libri tres ex Judiciis capitalibus nongentorum plus ominum, qui sortilegii crimen intra annos quidecimi in Lotharingia capite luerunt. Cologne, Chez Henri Falckenburg, 1596; in-8, epistle, preface, table + 414 pp, full vellum binding oddly restored with an antique half-calf spine, smooth spine ornamented, clumsy restoration anticipating a quality binding or restoration. Extremely rare work containing a description of the tortures inflicted on people accused of magic and witchcraft in Lorraine by Nicolas Rémy, inquisitor of Lorraine.
