SERGIO RODRIGUES (1927-2014). Suite of six "Cantu chairs". CIRCA 1960 Dimensions: 81 × 51 × 52 cm. Sergio Rodrigues (1927-2014) was a Brazilian designer who greatly contributed to the emergence of Brazilian design on the world design scene. Rodrigues focused on creating furniture that was both truly Brazilian and modern. In 1955, he opened his own interior design studio where he drew inspiration from indigenous culture, anchoring his style in more organic materials such as wood. Over the course of his professional life, Rodrigues designed more than 1,200 models and worked alongside numerous designers such as Oscar Niemeyer. Expert: Mr Arnaud Trimaille
