Impressive SAVONNERIE (East Asia) stitch-knotted rug, 3rd third of the 20th century. Dimensions: 580 x 328cm. Technical features : Wool velvet on cotton backing. A central ivory medallion, vegetalized, molded, surrounded by stems and multicolored floral bouquets, sits at the center of an oblong cream field. A double purplish and ivory frame, honeycombed at the cardinal points, adorned with garlands, compositions and polychrome floral vases, encloses the whole. Highlighted with pearl necklaces and external old gold "moldings". Beautiful, harmonious presence.
