Flat desk in rosewood, amaranth and composite fillet veneer, opening with three drawers in the waistband and two side pulls. The top is sheathed in burgundy leather, gilded with petit fer in a band surround, and encircled by an ingot moulding. The waistband features eight projecting panels decorated with interlacing friezes adorned with fleurons and twelve cubes embellished with piastres. It stands on four sheathed feet with reserve decoration Chased and gilded bronze trim: lingotière, pull rings with laurel frieze on macaron, piastres and set sabots. Paris. Partly Louis XVI period.
