Chest of drawers with central recess, oak wood frame decorated with bottomless cubes in veneer and tobacco wood, with Greek motifs on composite fillets. It opens to two drawers with concealed rails. The straight uprights with simulated amaranth fluting rest on cambered legs. Gilded bronze ornamentation. Breche d'Alep marble top with fillet molding. Stamped N.A LAPIE on the front right jamb. Nicolas-Alexandre LAPIE received master on August 17, 1764. Sworn mark, JME. Paris, Transitional Louis XV-Louis XVI period, circa 1750.
Dimensions: 84.5 x 128 x 57 cm. Cracks to the frame, lifting to the veneer, restorations.
