A Louis XV style cartel and console table in the Chantilly s - Lot 89
A Louis XV style cartel and console table in the Chantilly style, decorated with Boulle marquetry inlaid with acanthus scrolls, flowers and stained horn and tortoiseshell clasps on brass bases. Dial signed Crosnier in Paris. Paris. 19th century. Total height: 125 cm. Restorations to the inlaid decoration. Our 19th-century antique cartel is based on the so-called Chantilly hunting model, designed by Clouzier around 1750, and executed by order of the Duc de Condé for his Château de Chantilly. Louis XV also commissioned one for Versailles. Expert : Stéphane Pépe
