Dimensions : 192 x 240 cm. Maintenance restorations. Nota : Based on the 1665 painting by Charles Le BRUN (1619-1690) currently on display at the Musée de Louvre. This fourth and last hanging of 11 pieces, was presented by King Louis XIV to Anne Marie Louise D'Orléans, Duchesse de Montpensier, better known as the "Grande Mademoiselle" (1627-1693). The hanging was delivered in two installments, in 1685 and 1686. The panel presented here is identical to the painting by Charles Le Brun (1619-1690). What we know from the Cartons about the Triumph of Alexander panel mentioned in the 1690 inventory. Sources : Histoire de la tapisserie depuis le moyen âge jusqu'à nos jours, Guyffrei 1896.
