CHINA. 19th and 20th century. Set of five fan projects painted in ink and light colors on paper. Three representing lake landscapes animated with characters, boats and flags, one depicting a couple of birds among cherry blossoms, the fifth with a milefo seated near his bag of riches and holding the rosary.
Signed, with cyclic dates. Framed under glass.
Buddhai : bears a signature Bao Dong (?-1866) and dated summer 1828 in the upper left corner
Couple of birds : bears a signature Lu Hui (1851-1920) and titled "birds at rest on the branches" dated summer 1918
Lake landscapes:
- Bears a signature Qian Du (1763-1844) titled "Autumn River" made summer 1918
- Bears a signature Qin Zuyong (1825-1884) titled "Pavilion by the Water" done in autumn 1874
