Two tabak dishes with floral decoration, Ottoman Turkey, Iznik, early 17th century
In siliceous ceramic with underglaze polychrome enamel decoration.
The first decorated with tulips, roses, a hyacinth and flowers in bud, the marli bordered by a tchi cloud on one side, decorated with wavy stems, flowers arranged in staggered rows on both sides. D. 29,5 cm. Restoration, broken-glued, hole of suspension, small lacks and chips in edge; the second one decorated with a bouquet of tulips and roses in bloom or in bud arranged around a blue saz leaf, a wavy plant stem decorated with leaves on the marli. Collection number 1308 on the heel. D. 28,8 cm. Piece broken into pieces, some missing, restorations, three holes of suspension.
