L.a.s. on azure paper, Paris, May 26, 1787, 1 p. in-8 (17x10,5cm), : to his " dear colleague ". About a commemorative medal of which he wishes to modify some characteristics, and in particular to strike the mention "societas burgensis". There is indeed a medal engraved by Nicolas Marie Gatteaux, representing on the obverse the bust of Lalande, and on the reverse the mention: "ASTRONOMO ET CIVI SOCIETAS LITTERARIA BURGENSIS 1783" [To the astronomer and to the fellow citizen the Literary Society of Bourg 1783].
