Since then, the McLaren M8s have become icons of motorsport. In 1973, two American brothers, fans of motorsport, decided to market their vision of the McLaren M8 for the road. Their company "Manta Cars" developed a McLaren M8 nicknamed "Mirage". Like the original version, this reincarnation of the mythical McLaren was naturally powered by a Chevrolet V8. In 1974 the original "60 seconds" movie featured the M8 Replica. Our 1978 McLaren Replica comes from a very important restoration in the USA, recent complete painting. The Chevrolet V8 engine (350 CI), benefiting from a beautiful preparation with a power estimated between 425 and 450 HP and coupled to a mechanical gearbox of type G86.20 with 6 speeds.
