Georges Eugène Fréset (1894-1975) was a French naturalist painter, specializing in landscapes and nature. Orphaned at an early age, he became a schoolteacher before devoting himself to painting after the First World War. A member of the Salon des artistes français, he exhibited regularly and was awarded a medal of honor in 1936. Settling in Haute-Saône and then Haute-Marne, he poetically captured nature in the Vosges. His works can be found in museums and public collections.
